Scunthorpe Barbarians failed to overcome Rotherham Giants, despite a determined effort from the hosts, including a brace of tries for centre Luke Dexter. The visitors scored 8 tries to the hosts 3, and although the hosts had sustained periods of pressure on the Rotherham line in the closing stages, and it took a try from Rotherham hooker Duncan Henderson to secure the game with 20 minutes left, although the hosts were unfortunate to see two tries disallowed in the dying stages.
